Denniston’s Superb is a regularly-cropping tree producing good quality dessert fruits, ripening from mid August onwards. It is thought to be a plum, even though it looks much like a gage. It is also known as Imperial Gage. It is self-fertile, but spring-frost-sensitive. It has good disease resistance, especially to canker. It is an excellent pollinator for the demanding Coe’s Golden Drop. Very suitable for a south-facing wall.
