Elstar is a good dessert apple, of Dutch origin. It is a reliable cropper, easy to grow; it needs a pollinator.
Elstar is a cross between Golden Delicious and Ingrid Marie, developed in Elst, Holland, in the 1950s. It is sweet, with white, fairly crisp flesh.
