Foxes sometimes raid the apples on trees. How can you prevent this from happening? When the fruit is beginning to ripen, it is often effective to hang a small, highly scented piece of soap in the tree using a metal S-hook. This often deters foxes and deer. Once the piece of soap loses its scent, it is no longer effective. Check and replace it if this is the case.
