Jonagold is a very late-keeping apple. It is a large, vigorous triploid tree, of American origin; it needs two pollinators. It is a cross between Golden Delicious and Jonathan, with large, sweet apples, whose underlying green-yellow skin has crimson highlights. It was developed in 1953 in New York State and commercially introduced in 1968.
