Kirkes Blue is a plum tree very suitable for the smaller garden. It makes a small round tree with large, nearly black plums. Fruit ready by mid September. However it is self-sterile and without the right pollinator it will not perform. It is not suitable for the North. Not a heavy cropper but overall a very nice plum tree.
