Lord Lambourne is a very good mid-season dessert apple, sweet and sharp, with reasonable shelf life. It is self-fertile (no pollinator required), and it is suitable for the North. It was introduced in 1907 by Laxtons Brothers in Bedford, a cross between James Grieve and Worcester Pearmain.
