Meeches Early Prolific is a quince variety, a smaller tree compared with Vranja. However it is a self-fertile tree that is very precocious in fruiting, producing smaller fruits, but of better flavour. It will start to crop earlier compared with Vranja. Fairly hardy. The fruit is very fragrant, with scents of apple, flowers and vanilla. Excellent for preserves.
