Mirabelle de Nancy is one of the best of the various Mirabelle dessert plum varieties. It is self-fertile, and flowers very early. The fruit is ready by mid to late August. The fruit is also good for cooking and processing.
Mirabelle de Nancy makes quite a big, twiggy type of tree. It tends to overcrop, and it is frost sensitive.
