White Marseilles, also known as White Genoa, is a fig variety native to southern France, but it is hardy enough for the UK. It is a regular cropper, producing lots of yellow-skinned fruits with pale yellow flesh. It is best grown with a root restriction method such as in a container buried in the ground. It should be placed in a sheltered position such as against a south-facing wall. It can be grown as a fan.
